Wedding preparations

Most of our wedding items and decorations are DIY due to budget constraints. Asking a wedding planner to set up the solemnisation tables and chairs itself easily cost you $300-$500 bucks.

We starting researching on our themed and decide on garden and having a birdcage.

We search on all kinds of birdcage designing. And finally decided on what we want.

Bought flowers from Thomson area and birdcage from lot1.

This is how our birdcage look like after adding the flowers initially.






We were just poking in the stalks of flowers into the birdcage at nothing. And later realized that it kept dropping. Furthermore we didn't have enough flowers. Some parts look empty. So we got more flowers from jurong point and also sponge.

And our end product. Total cost approx $40 I guess.



And we went online looking for pen and came across this website. This pen is damn pretty! Cost $12.80 only!



We went to Arab street to look for more materials. Hope lace and ribbons. Cost us a total of $30 but in the end we didn't use any lace at all :(



Our DIY favor tag with personalized name. Paper only cost $1.30 for 3 pcs. Cheap cheap. But as I printed them much earlier, some guest names wasn't printed.



And we got another kind of paper for scrap booking. Another $1.30. And the final product!



On Friday we took leave and went down to ROM to collect our marriage certificate. Waited for a freaking 2hrs before its our turn.




Rushed down to shining's place to do my gelish French mani. $32!



On Saturday I started to pack the baked cookies that ive baked myself and kept cold in the fridge. Tying the favor tag together. We are done!



This is our actual solemnisation table. There's no table cloth or anything. And so we have to get our own table cloth. The table is very big and search for a table cloth went fruitless. Finally we decide to go down to Arab street to take a look. Still no cloth big enough. And we decide to spilt into 2 - table top and skirting.


We went there on the morning. First thing to do is set up the table cloth! Halfway thru I gotta leave for bridal and while im there sis sent me a pix.

Tadah! I'm very please with it.
Lanterns, flowers and petals from us. The bears are gifts from zhixiong and leon.
